Job Description

Huntsman Global Business Services is now looking for a dynamic individual as a Credit Analyst. The jobholder is responsible to perform risk assessments on customer with the understanding of financial ratios and general economic data. He/she will give recommendations and establishments of credit limit within the company policy and approval authority.

The ideal candidate will be located in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

 

As a Credit Analyst you will:

Performs risk assessments on new and existing accounts and makes recommendations on the appropriate credit limits, risk categories and credit terms so that well-founded decisions can be taken

Maintains active engagement and negotiation with sales account holders on credit request or issue

Monitors and evaluates performance of credit systems for the management of portfolio, credit review, and external scoring tools to ensure information are up to date

Gathers and analyses economic data to determine the impact on business operations as appropriate

Supports monthly reporting on credit performance, bad debt accruals and SOX controls

Takes initiative in projects to drive performance measures as required

 

What skills and experiences are we looking for?

A university degree in Finance/ Economics and minimum 3 years of experience in credit risk analysis (preferable in a credit insurance, rating agency, banking industry)

Good working knowledge of IT systems (Windows Office, SAP, Power BI) is a plus

Fluency in English. Chinese or any other language is a plus

Knowledge of risk mitigation solutions (e.g. Pledge on assets, bank guarantees, Letter of credits) is a plus

Good negotiation and interpersonal skills

Thoroughness, attention to detail and strong analytical skills
